In September 2023, NBS HUB Portugal was officially presented at the Annual NBS Hubs Event organised by NetworkNature in Brussels, marking an important milestone in its integration within the wider European community of Nature-Based Solutions. The presentation highlighted Portugal’s collaborative ecosystem approach, its strong foundations in participatory design and social innovation through projects such as URBiNAT, and its commitment to fostering active citizenship and multi-level governance models. The event provided a strategic platform to exchange experiences with other European hubs, strengthen international partnerships, and position NBS HUB Portugal as a national catalyst aligned with European sustainability, biodiversity, and climate resilience agendas.
